We are always willing to consider the donation of a sound and healthy horse. As our program grows, so does our need for quiet, well-schooled lesson horses. In general, we look for geldings that are 9-16 years old. They need to be able to walk, trot and canter, have excellent ground manners and LOVE people! We like to be able to do a 30-60 trial period to ensure that the horse is happy and willing in his work, that the owner is happy with the placement and that the horse is the right fit for RTT. 

We also consider free leases and have had several situations, where horses started

out as free leases, and ended up being donated to the program. Outright donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by the IRS and we can provide you with information from the American Horse Council on horse donations.
