RTT Horses in Windham

Mr. Baker

Baker is a 13.2 H ½ Connamara, ¼ Welsh Cob and ¼ Haflinger pony. He is very sturdy and is a great all around mount for children and adults alike. He is a very versatile guy and always the first to come to the gate when you go out to get horses.

Diamond

Diamond is new to the RTT family. His is a Fjord gelding, very strong and true to his breed. His was born in 1997 and is very solid under saddle independently or on lead. We are all looking forward to working and getting to know this new sweetheart!

Duke

Duke is our easy going Quarter horse born in 1989. Even though he loves to go on a quiet trail ride he will surprise you when he lights up under saddle in the arena. Duke greatest virtue is his patience- which everyone truly enjoys!

Firefly

Firefly is a 1992 13.1-hand Newfoundland Pony-cross gelding. Firefly is our most steady and reliable pony, willing to do whatever needs to be done and is always happy to work.

Goosebumps

Goosebumps has been the kingpin of RTT's Windham herd since 1999. He is now pushing 20 and is the epitomy of the perfect lesson horse. He loves work and seems to do better the more he has.

Luke

Luke is a 14.3 hand Haflinger gelding. He is an experienced therapeutic riding mount, has worked doing interactive vaulting and can perform upper level dressage. He jumps too! He does it all!

Orion

Orion is the chestnut with a star (as opposed to those with blazes--Teddy). He is a 1990 Quarter horse gelding owned by Sarah Bronson. He joined the Windham herd in April of 2004, and goes either English or Western.

Sudsy
Sudsy, our Belgian draft horse, is our tallest (and widest!) mount. He came to RTT in the fall of 2000. He was purchased through funds raised through the “horse fund” portion of our Live Auction held each November. Therapeutic riding was new to him, but he has become a wonderful asset to our program.

Teddy
Teddy is a 13.1 H Halfinger cross pony who is rugged and truly has a “pony” personality. He loves people and is our steadiest trail horse—unfazed by deer, grouse, and other unexpected visitors on the trail. Teddy is used extensively in our hippotherapy program due to his size and movement.

Tinkerbelle
Tinkerbelle is a 10H registered Welsh pony who was donated to RTT in the fall of 1999. Her personality is certainly disproportionate to her size! She loves people and her height (or lack thereof) puts many of our younger riders at ease.

Daisy & Poki

Daisy and Poki are miniature horses who came to RTT in the spring of 2006. Daisy is free leased from Cindy Leavitt and Poki was donated to RTT by the Platz family of Auburn. Daisy and Poki have been pasturemates for most of their lives and are great ambassadors at the farm. In addition, Poki has a cart and harness and both have been known to be adorned with reindeer horns during the holidays.
