February 16, 5:30 - RTT has developed a curriculum that combines the tenets of natural horsemanship, EAGALA (experiential growth and learning) exercises and interactive vaulting to provide wellness services as part of our mental health programming. We will not be conducting a therapy session during this inservice on Tuesday, February 16th at 5:30, but Michael and Kate will demonstrate some exercises that are useful in the areas of team building, communication and problem solving skills. Three Day Advanced Instructor Prep Workshop Sunday, April 11 to Tuesday April 13, 2010
This course will meet the education requirement for the NARHA Advanced Level Instructor Certification Program and must be completed prior to Advanced On-Site Certification. Topics covered include: equine management horse assessment personal riding and critiques We will also look closely at teachingtechniques specific to disabilities as well as those for able bodied students, review of lesson planning and lesson evaluations, and correctmounting and dismounting techniques.
