 Part Time Barn Assistant.

RTT is seeking a part-time/Per Diem barn assistant. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age and have a minimum of 3 years working with horses. 

 

Duties include: feeding hay and grain, checking/filling water buckets and tubs, making up grain, cleaning stalls, turning horses in/out, cleaning paddocks, and administering medications to horses. Applicants must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and be in good physical condition. May involve some supervision of volunteers who may be assisting in the barn. Must have a driver’s license and be able to operate farm vehicles (Gator and Kubota) safely (training provided). Position requires the ability to work independently and communicate clearly with Equine Manager and Equine Care Coordinator. Reliable transportation and consistent job attendance are critical for this position.
